Last meeting held on 06/09/10

In attendance: Mark Larsen, Don Roush, Lottie Sanders, Terry Sanders, Matt Titus

Discussion of construction process and review of what property needs to do to support this.

• Need to discuss, with the builder, the capping off of and extension of the sprinkler system pipe and French drain that runs under the new construction area.  It was discovered that the pipes were indeed cut but just buried and not capped or marked.
•  Builder has offered to provide a price quote for:
  • The complete repainting of the exterior building trim.
  • The extension of the French drain around the new construction.

Due to recent thefts:

• Total losses known so far:
  • $500 Walmart scrip
  • $100 Home Depot scrip
  • 1 19” lcd TV from nursery.
  • 2 handheld wireless microphones
  • 1 plug in microphone
  • 2 gift cards (no money inside)
  • 1 pastors discretionary fund checkbook.
  • 2 windows
  • Padlock and latch on storage shed
• The exterior locks and combinations were changed. 
• Added a combination lock to the office.
• Will soon add a combination lock to Pastor’s office.

• Well, the locks held up but 2 of the windows did not. 

  • We are having the broken windows repaired.
  • The break in and theft were reported to the police.
  • The insurance company will be notified of all thefts and damage.
• Researching the addition of a video monitoring system.

Discussed having those who approach pastor for simple work to earn assistance to do weeding in the front planting beds.  Will pass on to Pastor.

Will determine if a fence is required around the dumpster.

• If not, the property/men’s breakfast group could pour the slab needed to move the dumpster to the back of the church property
• This will place the dumpster out of view and closer to the back entrance for easier access from the new kitchen.

Will seek information about renting or contracting a “Bobcat” to clean up the dirt pile and brush growing near the current dumpster.

Met with an ADT security representative on 06/25/10 to discuss security options.  Will present proposals to council when I receive the quotes from ADT.
