"Building disciples; Growing in Faith; Serving in Christ's name"

All Saints Evangelism Ministry is established to welcome visitors and assist congregants in their time of need.

The Welcome MatT program describes our outlook for meeting and greeting everyone who attends All Saints worship.

Should you find yourself facing difficult times, we are pleased to offer help to you and your family.  All Saints stands ready with prayers, meals, gifts of encouragement and other assistance.  Please make us aware of your needs.  Contact the Evangelism Chair or the Office to let us know how we can serve you.

 Welcome Mat

“Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.” Matthew 10:40

This verse is the theme for the work of Welcome Mat. Our goal is to welcome every person who comes into All Saints, whether a first-timer or long timer, in the same way we would welcome the Father.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.”

2 Corinthians 5:20

The Apostle Paul recognized the importance of each individual of the body of Christ in ministry. Each of us at All Saints is also an ambassador for Christ. We are here to represent Christ to all people who join us in worship.

“Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me, and who welcomes me, welcomes not me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37

Like the theme verse, Jesus makes his message clear that the way we welcome one another should be the same way we would welcome the Lord. Jesus reminds us of the importance of the children. Whatever the needs of the children are, we are called to serve them, for they are the future of the church and the next generation of disciples.

“…But Esau ran to meet his brother Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept.”

Genesis 33:4

We have the opportunity to share with all that enter God’s house that this place is a safe space. Our struggles and conflicts in life are put beside us here and here we indeed receive God’s forgiveness.

“…And if any one will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake of the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town.”

Mat.10:14

Sin and brokenness are everywhere. We must always remember that the people who come through our doors may have the “dust” of life that they need to shake off. A warm greeting and caring spirit may be what they need.

“…for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and now is found.” Luke 15:24, the Parable of the Prodigal son

It is not uncommon in a church community for members to seem lost. Part of the mission of the Welcome Mat ministry is to care for and seek out those who are lost.

"The Lutheran" Magazine

All Saints provides every member family a subscription to “The Lutheran” magazine, a monthly periodical published by Augsburg Fortress for the ELCA.  The annual cost to the church is $7.95 per family.  Your contribution to “The Lutheran” helps to offset this cost.  Look for the red and white envelpes in the pews.
